    Intermediate Pool Reopen - Tuesday 21 July

    Following recent maintenance works, our Intermediate Pool will reopen to the public from Tuesday 21 July 2026 during normal operating hours. Please note that there may be occasions where the pool temperature is slightly lower than usual for brief periods. Thank you to all of our customers and community members for your patience, understanding, and support during the works.

    The key to staying motivated is finding something you enjoy, which is why we offer a huge range of classes for all ages and fitness levels at Peter Krenz Leisure Centre.

    We hold over 30 classes every week in our group fitness rooms, with classes suitable for teens, older adults, and everyone in between. We offer high-intensity and lower intensity classes in 30 and 60 minute formats. Explore our classes below to find one that's right for you.

    Active Adults

    This class is designed to challenge your balance, flexibility, strength and co-ordination, to support staying functionally strong as we age gracefully. All abilities and fitness levels welcome.
    Aqua Aerobics

    A whole body gentle conditioning workout to improve overall strength, particularly the core muscles. Aqua Aerobics is a water based class that is suitable for all levels as it is conducted with background music. Due to the in-water nature of the class this class reduces bodyweight and allows participants to complete movements in water that they wouldn’t necessarily be able to do on land.
    Blitz Class

    Blitz is a structured workout that is designed to push you to your limits to help you achieve your results FAST. Blitz involves a combination of Functional Training & High-Intensity Interval Training. In the class there is a massive emphasis on teaching movements, doing the workout.
    BodyBalance™

    A pre-choreographed mind body class set to inspiring music. Featuring movement and techniques that draw from Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates, you will leave this class feeling aligned, strong and energised.
    BodyPump™

    Barbell workout for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit. Using weights with lots of repetition, it challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best strength training exercises matched with great music.
    BodyStep™

    A pre-choreographed step class featuring simple and easy to follow movement sequences on and around an adjustable step platform. Challenging and enjoyable for the beginner to experienced exerciser.
    Circuit

    A circuit class utilising a range of equipment and movements to challenge and strengthen every part of your body. Options for low, medium, and high intensity are given to ensure the workout is suitable yet challenging for all fitness levels.
    Deep Water Aqua Aerobics

    Deep Water Aqua Aerobics simulates land-based movements in deep water while free-floating or using buoyancy tools. This type of exercise removes stress put on the joints during load-bearing exercises. Hydro belts are often one of the tools worn in this class to suspend participants in the water while they complete a range of drills.
    Pilates

    Focuses on strengthening and stabilising the muscles around the core and hip regions. This promotes correct posture, spinal alignment, and overall stronger functional bodies.
    Spin

    A cardio-based session on a spin bike suitable for all fitness levels. Trainers motivate you to push your fitness to the next level with various intervals and resistances. A fantastic low-impact class which boost cardio fitness and endurance.
    Yoga

    Move mindfully and deliberately into different poses that work your strength and flexibility. Combined with focusing on relaxation and mindfulness at the same time, you will leave feeling refreshed, strong and free in body and mind.
