Strength Equipment

Our Life Fitness and Hammer Strength machines allow you to exercise every muscle of your body while providing ease of movement. Our pin loaded machines are set up in a user friendly format allowing you to exercise each body part, alternating from arms to legs or back to chest. 

We cater for everyone’s strengths with dumbbells from 1kg – 50kg. Our 20kg Olympic bars can be loaded with plates ranging from 1.25kg – 25kg. Improve your core stability, balance and strength by utilising the Swiss balls, Bosu balls and Duradiscs which are all great tools for adding variety or challenges to your existing workout.


Cardio Equipment

Our cardio equipment includes Life Fitness bikes, treadmills, cross trainers, steppers and rowers, all overlooking Eaglehawk’s Lake Neangar.

Innovative features include motivating workout programs, computerised screens, iPod and USB attachments. All the equipment provides a smooth, natural motion, enabling an enjoyable workout.


Teen Gym​

The YMCA’s Teen Gym program is designed for young adults aged between 12 and 18 years who want to access the Health Club.
The program provides access to the Health Club facility and we tailor a safe program that is age appropriate and suitable to the individual’s needs.


A variety of affordable membership options are on offer at our centre. Memberships are available for patrons 13 years and over.
Casual sessions are also available in the Health Club as well as for any of our group fitness classes. For a copy of our current price list, or information regarding any activities available at the Peter Krenz Leisure Centre YMCA, please see one of our friendly Customer Service staff.


All Health Club staff hold a Certificate 3 and/or 4 in Fitness, Level 2 First Aid and current CPR.
We also have qualified Personal Trainers who all hold a Certificate IV in Fitness and are compliant with registered fitness bodies.
Our aim is to provide each individual the support they need to achieve their personal goals, while ensuring you workout in a friendly, safe and clean environment.

Group Bookings

We offer Health Club circuits for schools, sporting and community groups. Our instructors will demonstrate correct exercise technique and take participants through a fitness session suited to the group’s ability. Bookings for Group Fitness classes are also available.

We can organise a class specific to your group’s focus, whether that be fitness, strength or flexibility. Small groups (less than 8) are welcome to join in our existing timetabled classes. Price enquiries can be made at Customer Service and bookings will be confirmed by our Health and Fitness Coordinator.
